2008 ALL-DAY HORSEMANSHIP CAMPS
to register see “Camp Registration Page and Release Forms”
Our full day horse camp is nothing
but horsin’ around. Campers get a full day of catching, grooming, saddling, and riding. Each camper is assigned to a horse
or pony to work with for the week.
Campers are divided into skill groups based on their previous riding experience. Campers
will take lessons, trail rides, play games on horseback, etc. Each camper will have a lunch break and an afternoon snack time. Campers must bring a lunch and drinks. Remember to pack lunches in sturdy bags or containers so our friendly squirrel population
doesn’t get to share your lunch.
Campers are going to practice mounted drills to music. They will perform their drill at our
graduation show on the last day of camp.
Camp is open to boys and girls ages 7 to 16 years old.
No prior riding experience is
necessary.
Counselor to Camper ratio is 1 to 8.
Camp is from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day
Camp check-in starts at 8:00 a.m.
on the first day of camp. Campers need to arrive 10 minutes before camp all other days.
Camp graduation is on the last day of
camp and will begin at 4:00 p.m.. Please bring family and friends to see the show. Campers will play games, perform drills,
etc. Bring your camera and video camera too.
Campers are encouraged to decorate their horses and ponies for their graduation
show. Ribbons, etc. can be used.
Each camper needs to bring one pound of their favorite trail mix ingredient. This will be used for a snack break each day. You will also want a personal water bottle.
