TEEN HORSE CAMP- to register see “Camp Registration Page and Release Forms”

 

Former campers are invited to apply for TEEN CAMP. You must have attended our horse camps in the past.  Each camper needs to write a 200 word essay about your riding experiences. Turn this essay in with your camp registration and release form. We will notify you or your acceptance into camp, after we review your essay.

This is an intensive horse riding camp.  Intermediate to Advanced riding skills are a must.

Open to girls ages 15 to 19 years old.

 

Campers must be willing to ride Western, English, Dressage, Jumping, Gymkhana, Trail Riding, and Driving.

Campers must bring two pounds of their favorite trail mix ingredient.  Campers are also encouraged to bring one case of bottled water. For additional camping supplies, please see our camp supply list on this website.

 

Camp check-in is on Friday from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m, or from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., followed by a pizza party.

Please do not come at times other than the times listed.  We will be hosting very large camp graduation parties for our other campers.  The pony farm parking lot will be a little full, and we would like to check in our teen campers when we have less confusion.

 

Camp graduation is Saturday at 4:45 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.

SPECIAL FEATURES OF THE JUNE TEEN CAMP:

Parents are welcome to come back and join us on June 22 for a little friendly competition.  We will be hosting an Extreme Cowboy Race.  Your teen camper will get a chance to practice, practice and practice then parents can come and compete against them. 

An Extreme Cowboy Race is a timed obstacle course on horseback.  The race features a number of obstacles which may be encountered on a ranch. 

 

 

SPECIAL FEATURES OF JULY TEEN CAMP:

 

On July 18^th when we check in the Teen campers, parents are welcome to stay and pay a fee for a pizza dinner and a full-moon trail ride.  Our teen campers are going to ride to the top of the mountain in the light of the full-moon. Parents are welcome to join us.  Trail ride price is $50 and throw in a pizza party dinner for an extra $10.  Parents will need to call us at least 72 hours in advance of camp to make a reservation.

 

On July 26^th, after the Teen Camp graduation our farm staff will prepare a BBQ dinner for anyone who would like to stay.  We will charge $11 per person for the dinner. Please let us know when you drop off your teen camper if you would like to stay and take advantage of a great opportunity to socialize with the other camp families.  Dinner will be served directly after the camp graduation ceremony.
