The Overnight Camp has provided hundreds of campers a chance to come be part of our Lang's farm family. Campers get to live, eat and sleep at our picturesque horse farm.  The days are filled with catching, grooming, saddling, riding lessons, trail rides, games on horseback and drills to music. Evenings are filled with relaxing campfires, stargazing, games, an occasional talent show, perhaps a horse movie, new friends and lots of giggles.

 

Each girl is assigned to her own horse for the week.  Campers can choose to ride English or western, and will be assigned a riding skill group for riding activities. On an average day, the girls spend 8 hours with their horse.

Overnight Horse Camp is open to intermediate and advanced level riding girls . We divide up into "Riding Groups," based on skill, past experience, and age. We do a brief review of the basics for those who have not rode in a while, then get busy learning new skills. Advanced riders participate in dressage, gaming, and reining lessons.

Lang's Overnight Camp is not a good fit for beginner riders.

Housing at Lang's is quaint and unique and adds to the western experience. There are 3 housing options:

1. Covered wagons have the best ventilation. Each "room" accommodates up to 6 girls. Mattresses are NOT included for the covered wagon bunks.

2. We also have camping cabins available. The cabins are designed for two to four girls per room. The additional cost for a cabin is $50 per girl for the week. Only 15 cabin spots are available, so sign up early. 

3. Tent camping is also available along our beautiful lake. If your camper would prefer to bring a tent for more privacy we welcome it. Tent camping also gives campers a private space where a mask would definitely not be needed.

Please note that neither the covered wagons nor the cabins have electricity. All sleeping areas are bunk bed style.

Our shower facility has four showers and makes personal hygiene a breeze.

Food at Lang's is made on site by our Camp Cook at the Camp Diner. We provide regular, and vegetarian meal options. If your camper has other special dietary requirements, please contact us before signing up for camp to discuss whether we will be able to accommodate their needs. You may be asked to provide appropriate substitution foods.

 

Overnight campers will receive a complimentary Lang’s T-shirt. Please indicate your

t-shirt size on your camp registration form.

Homesick?  

No refunds will be given for children who leave camp early because they are homesick.  Please be sure you and your camper are prepared for them to be away at camp for a week.

As a family run business, we are limited in the range of special needs we are able to properly accommodate; including but not limited to behavior management and certain health conditions.
