Little Ranchers All Day Camp

Little Ranchers is a brand new program we are trying out this year. We hope to incorporate all the great things about our traditional All Day program, but in a slightly shorter format and a little less riding time. 6 hours per day seamed like the perfect length for kids who have done Little Wranglers or Fun and Games camp and are wanting something longer.

On Monday, each camper is assigned a horse or pony to work with for the remainder of the week. Camper's riding abilities are assessed by our trained staff and divided into skill groups based on their previous riding experience. Little Ranchers All Day Camp is Structured for Beginner and Intermediate level riders.

Campers will work with a partner to help catch, groom, and saddle up the camp horses. They will also enjoy riding lessons, trail rides, and playing games on horseback.  Your camper will also be taught about horse care, the cost of ownership, and stable management practices such as cleaning their horses' pen and feeding. Other planned activities include bareback riding, meeting and riding the draft horses, and trying out different styles of saddles.

Little Ranchers All Day Horse Campers will begin to  experience what it is like to own a horse and the hard work that comes with it. Little Ranchers will get approximately 2+ hours daily of riding time.

Each camper will have a lunch break and snack time. Campers must bring a lunch, snack, and drinks.  Remember to pack lunches in sturdy bags or containers so our friendly squirrel population doesn’t get to share your lunch.

We at Lang’s Horse & Pony Farm are committed to providing a safe, educational, and welcoming environment for all our campers, patrons, volunteers, and staff. As a family run business, we are limited in the range of special needs we are able to properly accommodate; including but not limited to behavior management and certain health conditions.

If your child requires special assistance for educational, behavioral or medical needs at school or other programs you will need to contact our office directly before enrolling in one of our camps to ensure that placement is feasible. Please read the attached information. For further details click here.
